The new wandless mascara from Hourglass is testing all our beliefs about mascara
When it comes to mascara, the one thing that I am extremely particular about is the type of wand it comes with. We all have different types of hair on our lashes, as we do on our head. Choosing the correct formula and brush type is so very important to make sure you achieve the result that you are looking for. Wandless mascara, though? How on earth could that work?
The Curator Lash Artist collection is the latest in mascara devices. Unlike regular mascara, this contraption comes without a wand. This can't even be called a mascara, it's a 'lash instument'. Fancy.
Instead of a brush, there is an engineered stainless steel tip which they say "provides a 360 degree all round coating of each lash."
The new system comes with three parts:
- The Instrument
This is the straight tool you use instead of the wand.
- The Primer

This, like any primer, extends the wear of the mascara and gives dramatic lift and curl, length and volume.
- The Mascara
To create volume without clumping, jet black and ultimate length without flaking.
Note: You will need a waterproof eye makeup remover to remove it.
For those of you who are skeptical, here is a short video to show you how it works. I am undecided until I actually try it, but I will keep you updated when I do.
