Some beauty trends make me yawn, others give me the shivers (channelling your inner Caspar with white eye shadow) and then there are those that I want to try IMMEDIATELY.
And double-eyeliner is the latest fashion fad that has me whipping out all my pencils, blending tools and glitter pots. See, mixing eyeliners is no bother to me. For day-to-day wear I grab a dark brown liner (Bobbi Brown's gel Espresso or Mac's kohl Teddy) and use a nude pencil in my waterline so that's technically double lining right?
Uh-uuuuuh. Wrong. The new eye is one that you can see in stereo, it's amped up and demanding attention. And I love it.
This eye is all about contrast as opposed to matching lines. Chanel sent their models down the runway of their Haute Couture SS14 shows with heavy graphic liner on the top lid, clashing with iridescent angelic silvers under the eye. This is one of those looks that made me catch my breath a little and do squeaking noises. 'Tis like Banksy's Fallen Angel has come to life in Chanel, and that gives me all the swoons.

And London Fashion Week embraced duo peeper colour, with Giles Deacon and Osman featuring the look heavily in the collections.
If you want to be achingly on trend you'll be pairing blue (anything from midnight to neon pastels) with luxe golds or earthy tones.
Wear with mussed hair and use a glitter liner under the eye for extra fashion kudos.

Because glitter, like Rihanna's gangsta line, isn't just for Christmas. Oh no, it's G 4 life *does 1980s rapper pose*
What do you think of the double liner look? Are you tempted to break out your glitter pots? Or can you just get a whiff of the 70s from it all? To the comments!
