I love looking at blogs where the author posts 'Faces of the Day'. Arlene at Northern Irish blog Dress Junkie is great at this, as is Mizz Worthy, a UK-based Illamasqua fiend. Both regularly feature the fruits of their labours on their sites and while I don't change my makeup as often as these gals, one of the things I enjoy so much about makeup is the creativity inherent in designing a new slaptastic look.
So I have favourite faces I roll out: a typical daytime makeup for me is something like a light foundation (Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV and Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser are current faves), blusher (Benefit Coralista is a recent surprise can't-live-without), Bobbi Brown gel ink liner in Sapphire Shimmer and Bourjois Rouge Hi-Tech Lip Tint in Cyber Cassis for lips is one I fall back on, er, daily.
I do mix it up a bit more for night though - regulars include a deep navy smokey eye with coral lips. Oh and blush. Or I do like a chocolate eye and pink, Rouge Volupte-d lips. Plus blusher. Lots of blusher. Green eyes and coral gloss gets regular outings, as does graphic liner and matte red lips. Or another one I love is grey, sparkly eyes, coral lips and a massive bang of MAC Mineralize Skin Finish for that sexy robot effect. Plus, of course, blush. Oh, always with the blusher.
