Baby powder is one of those products that everyone has sitting somewhere. Now, we're not telling you to creep around your friends and family members' homes, but if you open any bathroom cabinet, you'll probably see it there, along with expired aspirin and spare toothbrushes.
Growing up, I have memories of my mum using it before and after swimming class to get it my swimming cap on without pulling my hair. I was a tantrum-thrower, this had to be done. Obviously, its main use is for nappy rash and other baby related issues we can't think of right now because our focus is on all the things we can use it for.
Here are a few you may not have tried yet.
- 1. Set your makeup
If you're stuck for loose powder, just dust a bit of baby powder over your foundation set it; most powders are made out of talc anyway. It is especially good if you have oily skin.
- 2. Substitute dry shampoo

It's the day after you wash your hair or the day after that, and you are all out of your dry shampoo. Worry not, baby powder will do the trick and your hair will smell baby fresh.
- 3. Use as foot powder
If your feet are prone to smelling bad, add a little powder to your shoes before you put them on. It will absorb the excess sweat and leave your feet smelling fresh.
- 4. Deodorant
After your shower, apply deodorant all over and pay particular attention to your armpits. It will soak up extra moisture and help reduce sweat.
- 5. Bed Sheets

This one is a good one. Sprinkle some baby powder on your sheets and it will absorb the perspiration and odour and leave your bed and room smelling as fresh as a daisy.
