We've already checked out one product from the May 20th-launching summer lineup from Chanel. Mimosa comes from Les Fleurs D’ete de Chanel, as do the scrumptious goodies in this post, which the brand sent pre-release for your swatching pleasure. So, lets get to it: above is the Les 4 Ombres in Lilium, €45.
I've really warmed to the brand's baked quads in the last year or so. The payoff dry is generally quite sheer (it tends to be better on darker shades) but these work excellently with a wet brush and you can really foil them - check out these swatches below for evidence.
Swatched dry, the pigment is, as mentioned, sheer and the result light, meaning the quad makes for a much more daytime-appropriate look. Foiled on with a wet brush as they are above, the story's entirely different, with the top two shades in particular really coming into their own. That green!
Another star of the Les Fleurs D’ete show is Soleil Tan de Chanel. This will be available in two tones - Bronze Rose for pale peeps and Bronze Corail for warmer skins. That's Bronze Rose above - lets take a closer look.
Four stripes of soft matte powders make up this bronzer. Swirl them together on a brush (I'm not mad on the supplied brushes, preferring a soft, domed powder offering) and apply to the high points of the face. This has no shimmer, feels silky and fine and is lightly shaded so will dust you with colour, not colour you in.

And here are the swatches. This is sheer yet nicely bright and will warm a wan complexion, even as it pales by having to hand over €49 for it.
This is a bit interesting, I reckon: it's Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Rose Palatine, €21, and it's a pewter-copper metallic propelling eyeliner that looks gorgeous on. As of yet it - and Mimosa - are the only bits from Les Fleurs D’ete I've properly trialled, and I really like it. It looks lovely drawn lightly across the upper lash line.
Apart from the much-mentioned yellow, there are two other nail shades in the summer lineup. Beige Petale is a very bridal-appropriate shade and is one of those colours that delivers a sheer, milky wash to nails. It's fine. Very sedate, nothing to get my heart racing. Morning Rose, on the other hand, is yum - a nice mid-pink, there's golden glitter in there. Yep, Chanel. Glitter.
See!? Nice, eh? This is going on next, I'm telling yiz.
That's everything I got to sample from the summer lineup but there are also three Levres Scintillantes glosses in Pink Peony, Pensee and Aurore for €24.50 (check the original sneak-peek post for a goo at 'em) and an Ombre Contraste Duo in Khaki Discret for €26 on offer. Everything, excepting the shadow duo, is limited edition so you know the score - if you want a product from this collection, get to a Chanel counter as close to the 20th as you can manage - summer always flies out as far as I know.
