Mascara enthusiasts, take note! Chanel's latest is heading our way. Le Volume De Chanel launches on May 3rd as part of the new Jeux de Regards collection, which focuses on the eyes.
I always have high hopes when it comes to a new mascara, especially a high end, luxury product. Mascara wardrobes are all very well but I haven't given up hope of finding The One - that perfect and effortless product that will lengthen, curl, define, separate and add volume, all in one.
I had those same high hopes when it came to Chanel's Inimitable Intense, but despite the name, it wasn't high enough impact for me. This baby, though, is exactly what I've been waiting for. It's just so easy - one swipe and my lashes are done. They're bigger, better, bolder, longer, clump free and there's not a spider's leg in sight.
The secret's in the brush, Chanel's new 'Snowflake' design, which combines bristles of varying lengths to build volume while evenly coating every single lash. The formula delivers intense colour and is loaded with lash friendly waxes and oils.

Le Volume de Chanel will be available in three shades, Noir, Prune and Bleu, all priced at €30. Launching with it are four brand new shades of Stylo Yeux Waterproof eye liners, €23, and I've been playing about with Black Shimmer.
Contrary to the name this is actually a dark charcoal grey with silver shimmer. It reminds me of one of my favourite Chanel liners, Gris Scintillant, but this one has a much less smudgy formula, and lasts longer in the waterline thanks to the waterproof formula. It has a soft, smooth texture, doesn't drag and has good lasting power.
The Jeux de Regards collection also includes two new eyeshadow quads, in shades of blues or browns, and two new shades of Illusion d'Ombre. Convoitise is a golden beige, while Apparition is described as a metallic midnight blue - I'm a big fan of these shadows and both sound heavenly to me.
