We all know what I am. And even though you mightn't want to say it out loud, some of you are no different. People get upset on the street when they see one of us on our own but if they see two of us together they say it's good luck.
Yes, I am a magpie. I love monochrome, I walk with a bit of a strut and I love shiny things. And don't deny it, many of you are no less feathery than I am.
So you too may squawk in delight at the sight of this new Limited Edition from Catrice.
This Metallure Collection is full of shine, sparkle and Autumnal metallics, and it's pretty kind to a is-it-payday-yet pocket.
So shall we have a peep at its pretty ways?
First up are three creamy lipsticks:
- C01 Metalight - a nude with pinky-gold undertones
- C02 Alluring Pink - a vivid pink
- C03 Alluring Red - a slightly blue-toned red, that shouts glamourous things
The texture is creamy and the finish is sheerer than it appears in the bullet, with a lovely shine. The lasting power isn't great and you will have to remember to top up throughout the day but for €4.49 the quality is decent.

And there are three eyeshadows (€3.99) in the Metallure collection that deliver in sparkly spades.
These are metallic and marbled in their quads with good pigment pay off.
The three shades are:
- C01 Metalight - coppery rose gold with white, perfect for highlighting under the brow or in the cupid's bow
- C02 Metalfusion - copper with deep gold
- C03 Metallicious - rose gold with black, perfect for a Winter look
The nail polishes (€2.99) set to a liquid metal finish and come in five shades of dark silver, modern gold, warm rose gold, classic red and fresh pink.
The Luminizing Bronzer (€5.49) is a baked powder bronzer with a copper rose gold finish in line with the rest of the collection. It's subtle and if used with a light hand is good for paler complexions.
The final piece is the Mascara Topper and Liner (€4.49), and this is a funny little fella. It's gunmetal grey, shot through with a little bit of shimmer. It can be used as a liner but the brush also has a ridged section which allows you to apply the product to the tops of the your lashes. It's not a mascara but will give your lash tips something to catch the light.
In reality it works fine as a liner but it's a bit of a faff to use as a mascara topper and has the tendency to give you a clumpy tip (which sounds like something Dr Christian would say on Embarrassing Bodies…yes, doctor, I seem to have Clumpy Tip, hang on, let me show the camera…).
