When news broke that Wet n Wild were in Ireland, pure chaos was unleashed as everyone flocked to their new stands in Dunnes Stores. Similarly, the rumour has been confirmed that soon we will see budget-favourite NYX popping up in more places (and more on that as we get it). Formerly it was a brand you might catch at the till point in Urban Outfitters, in a beauty supply store or you could pick up some of their eye range in Clery's.
So these arrivals, coupled with the fact that I am only just home from Florida, made me really start thinking about what brands I wish were more available to us here in Ireland.
First up, it has to be my all-time favourite brand, Illamasqua. You may remember when they first sprung on the scene, we had our own counter in BT2 on Grafton Street. However, we soon lost it and now have to travel to Belfast to see any products in the flesh. Alternatively we can buy online but their shipping costs are astronomical so I definitely recommend using Parcel Motel.
My trip abroad saw me picking up my first product from US favourite, Tarte.
Of course, it was one of their infamous Amazonian Clay Blushes in the shade 'Doll Face' and I truly have fallen head over heels in love with it. Now I am deeply regretting only making that one single purchase as I have heard great things about their eyeshadows and mascaras too.

A brand I didn't get a chance to check out (as I had already spent ALL of my money in Sephora) was drug store favourite Milani. US bloggers and YouTubers are constantly raving about their low price products, especially their Baked Blushes and Lipsticks. Let's not forget their stunning gold packaging which definitely looks more luxe than the price would suggest.
Speaking of drug-store picks, how could I forget Sleek makeup? I actually own a lot of their products through ordering online but to me, nothing beats a good old swatch in-store. I know they recently opened in Liffey Valley but that is a bit of a pain in the neck for me to get to and surely if it is stocked in one Boots, it should be stocked in them all!

Finally is another US brand in the form of Lorac. If you watch YouTube at all, you will have seen countless gurus fawn over their Pro eyeshadow palette and I NEED IT. I searched every Ulta and Sephora while I was over there but sadly it was sold out everywhere and now I have no chance of getting it or trying out any of their other highly raved about products.
Tell me, which brands do you wish were more available to us, whether it be in our local Boots or Brown Thomas Beauty Hall?
