Ah God, do you remember this stuff? For most of the '90s, there was hardly a make-up bag in the land that didn't feature the distinctive pink and green tube of Maybelline's Great Lash mascara. It won rakes of "Best Mascara" awards all over the place, and I for one could never figure out why.
The first one I bought was so unspeakably rubbish, I decided it must have come from a bad batch. Surely no-one could possibly sell a mascara - and a celebrated must-have, at that - which only coloured lashes?! The second tube, however, was equally bad. Supposed to add volume and seperate lashes, this mascara never did anything for me but clump, smudge, and flake. Totally overrated.

Maybe that incredibly disappointing first - and second - experience is why I'm always on the hunt for the perfect mascara, ha?
