So OBVIOUSLY when we heard the news of Justin Bieber's cosmetic collection for Essence we uttered a collective Holy Hoop. Well actually we said quite different words than that, but I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
Bieber? For Essence? BUT HE DOESN'T WEAR MAKEUP. Cos he's a boy and all. He's already jumped on the lucrative cosmetic bandwagon by producing a lovely fragrance (I shudder to think what it smells like) and a range of nailvarnish for Walmart, so really we should have realised that the signs were on the wall.
Essence are the sponsors of his 2013 tour Believe and the tween market money making signs must have been burning brightly in their eyes.

However we thought we'd spotted a classic flaw in the marketing strategy. How could there be any lovely shots of him posing sultrily actually wearing said makeup.
Well there could of course but it would kind of wreck the image he's been trying to create lately. Honestly it's worse than the evolution of Miley Cyrus. All Bieber needs to do is a good old twerk agin Robin Thicke's crotch and he's away.
