Moisturising is key to getting and maintaining healthy, youthful skin, but it is not always so straightforward.
Moisturisers are not all made equal and neither is our skin. What might work for one person to give them glowing dewy skin might make another person break out.
So how do we know what moisturiser will work for us? Unfortunately, it sometimes takes a lot of trial and error to find the perfect product for your skin.
To help you, we have a list of what we think are the best moisturisers for different skin types.
Oily skin
I have this skin and surprisingly you still have to moisturise, not too much or you will be prone to blemishes and not too little or you will get dry patches. I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, I find it doesn't make me break out but keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated, especially in warm weather.

Avene Hydrance Optimale Riche hydrating cream is a moisturiser for very dry and dehydrated skin. It works best when used straight out of the shower to help lock in as much moisture as possible.
Regular use will help prevent premature skin aging which is often common with very dry skin.
Normal/Combination skin
This is probably the most common skin type. You get breakouts on some parts of your face, another part is dry and flaky. It's very annoying.
Neutrogena – Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser is super lightweight but also hydrating and silky. It is also oil free meaning that it shouldn't give you any breakouts but still seep your skin hydrated, soft and youthful.
