Maybe it's because I've been a bit preoccupied with entertaining the in-laws or because I've been feeling a little bit lazy of late, but the last few manicures that I've DIYed have been mostly devoid of any form of embellishment.
No leopard print. No polka dots. No flowers. Nada.
This has set me wondering whether I'm just having a lazy few weeks or whether I might be - shriek! - actually over nail art.

Don't get me wrong: I still think nail art looks awesome and am collecting inspirational images by the bucketload, but I've rediscovered the joys of a simple lick of paint nail varnish - oh hai again, plain coral! - and it's considerably less devastating when chips appear on a manicure that took minutes rather than the guts of a painstaking hour to create.
Is it just me, or are you feeling a bit "meh" about nail art too?
