Anyone who reads beauty blogs (which I'm guessing may be a lot of you!) knows all about Temptalia, the US super blog that's most famous for its unbelievably excellent Mac coverage.
Here's a recent example. Mac launched their Heavenly Creatures collection online during the week and Christine from Temptalia didn't let the grass grow under her feet.
"MAC Heavenly Creatures launched online late yesterday. I purchased everything from the collection and overnighted the order, so I just received it today. I’m working as quickly as I can to get through everything Here are some preview photos/swatches to hold you over. Please hold questions until I’ve had a chance to post reviews — thanks!"
Unbelievable as this is, it's normal procedure for Christine. She then proceeded to review and test every single piece in the collection. Every. Single. Piece. Forensically. Thoroughly. And with incredible pictures, swatches and videos. Now this is no small collection - it's one of the big fat limited edition Mineralize collections that Mac launch each summer - the work she did was enormous.

And you know what I think I love best about the reviews? Not the pictures and the swatches (which are incredible). It's the honesty. "I want to love them " she'll tell you about Mineralize eyeshadows - but because of the poor colour payoff, creasing and poor weararability she just can't. You can trust what she says and that adds another dimension - it's one of the reasons beauty blogs can be so good. They don't shill for brands - they tell the truth because they care more about their reader than anything else. This is something we wholeheartedly believe in at Beaut.ie and it's a principle we've stuck by doggedly since the start.
Temptalia is superb. It's the go-to for anyone who loves makeup and I can't tell you how much we love and admire what they do.
Now what about you? Feel the same way? Give Temptalia some love in the comments!
