Fiona is interested in doing a make-up lesson and wants to know if we have any information on where to go?
Yup, we sure do. I've found a few places for you that look like they'd provide the goods.
The Make-Up Room, based in Dublin, offer a load of courses from part-time beginners right up to full time make-up artistry courses. And they also do individual makeup lessons which last about 2 hours and cost €145.
These are aimed at anyone who is seeking expert advice on their own makeup skills. You'll learn about skincare, creating a natural day makeup and how to adapt it to become a gorgeous evening makeup. You'll also find out what colours work for you and what types of products suit your skin. They'll even go though your makeup bag to ensure you have the products and colours that are right for you! The cost of the lesson includes VAT, and a brush kit which is worth €36.50. That's not all though - you'll also take home a leaflet filled with advice on all thats been covered and a sample bottle of foundation containing the perfect colour base. Excellent!

The Irish Academy of Beauty also do individual courses. Their 1 day Make-Up Course for Beginners sounds like it'll do the trick. It's an introductory course which provides the opportunity to learn about skincare and the use of make-up to enhance features. You'll learn about the importance of regular maintenance of the skin, regular cleansing, moisturising and toning, different skin types, preparation of the skin for make-up, corrective creams, skin flaws, concealment and enhancement of features. You need to bring along your own products, and the course costs €150. This does include makeup brushes however.
