Reader Sarah needs advice! She's "going to buy Lancome Artliner eye liner" as she's heard that "it's meant to make putting it on really easy". But that's not her problem - what she wants to know is which colour she should go for - should she pick black or brown to go with her blue eyes and light brown hair?
Dear Sarah, and indeed, all our readers. As you all know by now, less is definitely less with me. Hell, I'd buy both. I'd keep the brown for day wear, and vamp it up at night with the black. I think this would be a perfectly appropriate approach to this dilemma - if in doubt, buy them all, darlings. Co-incidentally, this is Aphrodite's favourite liner of all time - so it does come highly recommended.
I am aware though that we're not all as product crazed as I am, and Artliner, well, it don't come cheap. So, if you don't fancy shelling out the guts of fifty quid on two eyeliners, you could spend a few quid buying yourself a couple of Rimmel substitutes first (I tested the black one recently and liked it). You can get both brown and black and even if you did have a bit of a learning curve with the application, at least you'd know which colour you preferred.

Or here's an even cheaper cheat - most of us have a brown and black shadow in our collections, whether individually or in a palette. Get yourself an eyeliner brush (wet it first) or a stiff shadow brush and carefully apply the shadow above the lashline. See which colour you prefer, and go for that one.
