Ask & You Shall Receive - Please Find me a Good Cleanser

Sabrina is looking for a good cleanser/face wash. She's told me that she's 26, has combination skin prone to some congestion but not to breakouts. It's not sensitive, but she does find some cleansers can be too drying for her skin, and found Vichy Normaderm to be just that when used twice a day. She's also used the Clinique soap and would like us to recommend a face wash as opposed to a cream cleanser, and she's curious about the whole Liz Earle system but wonders are the cloths not a bit unhygenic?

Firstly - nope, not at all missis! You're recommended to put them in a 40 degree white wash every 3 or so uses. In fact, the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is a great system if you do find face washes dry your skin out, because it's so creamy that it makes your skin feel soft and smooth. The cloth also gently exfoliates too - oh and did I mention it smells fab?

I'll let you in on a little secret - I don't use Normaderm twice a day either - I use it in the mornings and that keeps my skin nicely in check. But like you I do also find face washes with salicylic acid in them to be pretty drying too, though I haven't found that with Normaderm, and I think it's one of the best results-wise.

Another Vichy product which is fab and which I've blogged about before is Oligo 25 Anti Dull Skin Foaming Water which is a great product for clean, non-tight feeling skin. It foams up into lovely marshmallowey clouds and smells delish.

l'occitaneOne I'm really keen to try is L'Occitane's Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam (left).

It's a gentle face wash which you use twice a day, to leave skin soft, comfortable and radiant. Yay! It also smells delicious and can be bought in L'Occitane shops nationwide and it'll probably be in the €25 range. There are a range of complimentary products to go with it, all of which sound fab - and naturally enough, I now want all of them!

Best of luck, and let us know how you get on.
