Christmas means gift sets to me, and not just any old gift set, but the sort of stuff you don't generally buy for yourself - you want fancy, luxury stuff in a gorgeous shiny box.
No doubt advertisers will start rolling out those TV ads for 'All Mums want for Christmas is Olay'. Yeah right. Mums definitely want something that costs €9 that they buy when they're in the supermarket anyway. Oh yeah, for sure. They don't want their kids to stop squabbling, someone else to make the Christmas dinner and a couple of hours of peace and quiet - no, they want a crappy bottle of moisturiser, according to whoever dreamt up that ridiculous ad. A man, I bet.
Much as I like Olay and all that, if someone gave me a bottle of it for Christmas, I'd descend into a homicidal rage and stab them with a sharpened Christmas cracker. So what do us women want? Well, we'll be doing a ton of posts in the run up to Christmas on gift ideas for everyone - sisters, mums, dads, brothers, girlfriends and boyfriends, so stay posted.
To kick us off, I've gone all swoony over Bliss's Christmas gift sets - now this is the sort of thing I want to see in my stocking - delicious expensive products that I didn't have to pay for - truly THIS is the spirit of Christmas.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at this Carrot+Sesame Body Buff set either. It's based on their carrot and sesame body buff spa treatment, and it's a DIY home version. You get a jar of skin-smoothing, sea-salt-infused carrot and sesame spa scrub and a bottle of body-quenching, milk and honey-hinted carrot and sesame finishing foam. Yum! Sounds good enough to eat. That set will cost you $48.
Lastly, lets pay a little attention to hair. Bliss have a fab range of hair products and this would make a great treat - it's their The 'lock' Star Gift Box which contains a bliss lemon + sage supershine shampoo and bliss lemon + sage conditioning rinse, bundled in a Bliss gift box. It costs $28, which is a $10 saving on buying them individually.
