Stay Safe in the Sun This Summer with Melanoma Skin Cancer Public Awareness Lecture
We're always banging on about sunscreen, but in case you think we're exaggerating, or you'd like to find out a bit more about sun care and the skin cancer risks we all face, La Roche-Posay are running a free Melanoma Skin Cancer Public Awareness lecture on 14th May (tomorrow!) at 6pm in the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin.
You'll be hearing from consultant dermatologist Dr Cal Condon from the Irish Cancer society and from a mother of a skin cancer victim with regard to:
- Melanoma Awareness in Ireland
- Prevention, Detection and Treatment
- Learning how to check you moles correctly
- Sun Safety

Plus, all attendees will receive a FREE La Roche-Posay goodie bag with full sized products. Head to www.besunaware.com to register for the event - I have been to a couple of talks like this and while they scare the life out of you and have you running home to shower in factor 50, they are really informative, so it will be well worth it.
If you have the chance, go - especially as research released today from Hamilton, the Australian suncare brand, reveals that 23% of Irish women never use sunscreen, and only 29% know that skin cancer is the number one cancer in Ireland. Frightening stuff.
