October is...Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As most of our readers are female, this is something quite literally close to our hearts. Thankfully awareness and support for breast cancer sufferers has rocketed in recent years and lots of cosmetic companies are now producing special limited edition items from which a portion of the proceeds go towards breast cancer charities. If you're in the market for some new makeup and would also like to support this cause, then you can choose from the following, all available at Brown Thomas stores nationwide:
Estée Lauder’s Pink Ribbon compact.
This round golden compact, with a jewelled pink crystal ribbon charm, contains Estée Lauder’s new Illuminating Powder and will be on sale for €70 (eek!). €15.00 from each purchase will go to the Clinical Cancer Research Trust.
Elizabeth Hurley’s new limited edition “Elizabeth Hot Pink Pure Color Lip Gloss†will be available at all stores nationwide. €19.50, with €7.00 from every sale going to the Clinical Cancer Research Trust.
This year Evelyn Lauder has created ‘Evelyn Shimmer Pink Pure Color Lipstick’ to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. €21.00, with €7.00 from every sale going to Clinical Cancer Research Trust.
