Beaut.ie Goes to the Dundalk Festival of Fashion
Aisling gets familiar with one of the Horsewear Ireland mannequins
Dundalk has suffered pretty badly since the whole arse fell out of the economy and everyone began to pop over the border to Newry with renewed vigour, so when we were asked to come up for this weekend's International Festival of Fashion to do a book event with Hughes and Hughes for the Beaut.ie Guide to Gorgeous - well hey, of course we said yes.
Organised by Celia Holman Lee - who looks seriously smokin' hot - the event featured fashion shows and local traders showing off their wares. We were particularly taken by the pieces on offer from After Sybil, a vintage shop located in the village of Blackrock, not far from Dundalk. They had some seriously stylin' stuff - check it out.

Among the lovely girls who came along to the signing were Amanda from Boopydoodle, who makes gorgeous kitschy-cute jewellery - if you're a Tatty Devine fan (I am) then you'll like what she does, as well as the girls from Mise Beauty. I was most glad I'd worn my Ellis Faas lipstick, so.
Big thanks to everyone who took time on a very wet evening to meet us and a huge thanks to Ellie and the girls from Hughes and Hughes Dundalk as well. They were so nice and lovely to spend a couple of hours with. Did we snap you? You'll have to head to Facebook to find out!
