Ask & You Shall Receive: Have you tried stick-on nail polish strips?
The awfully-named Trendy nail wraps from Sally's Salon Supplies on Dublin's Drury Street, about €8 a pack (we think, we, er, lost the receipt)
We've come a long way from the arrival of Incoco, baby, when French or some shade of red was the full extent of choice where stick-on nail strips were concerned. With the advent of Minx, everyone and their granny - and even Incoco - are bringing out their own versions of coloured and metallic and printed self-adhesive DIY decals, and they're starting to pop up in Boots and other chemists as well as online.
That wider selection of finishes from a rake of new brands is obviously great from a consumer choice perspective, but it means I haven't quite gotten around to trying all the available offerings. Although I've given gold and silver Blixz a whirl on fingers and toes respectively, I haven't yet had a go of Nailease or Nail Rocks or Rebel Nails even the Sally Hansen Salon effects strips I carted home from the States in February.
(There have been rumours that we'll see them this end of the world in the autumn, but I'm sparing them just in case.)

So when Jill tweeted the other day to ask if I'd used the Topshop versions* I had to sadly concede defeat and admit that no, no I had not.
Bloody. Useless.
I am now waiting on delivery of some of these products so as never to be caught short again, but in the meantime you might let me (and Jill) know if you've tried any of these at-home nail polish appliques and whether or not you thought they were any cop?
* I think that the Topshop ones are Nail Rocks, per their website
