Winter Woolies: Knits for Under €50

It's COLD, isn't it? I'm always cold, and if I could sit by an electric heater all day I would. Even if it gave me chilblains.

So my perfect winter trend is the chunky knit. I love how it can be styled with different textures to make it look chic and thanks to the high street, we have lot's of shapes and cuts to choose from. Now, the one fear I have is that it can add a few inches to my frame, so it's important to balance out the look to flatter your body. So what are my picks under €50 so we don't break the bank right before the festive season?

With a chunkier wool, we need to ensure we keep the lower halve of our body in proportion, which is why I love black. The most powerful colour out there. So bear that in mind when styling your skirts and trousers. Keep these pieces to more form fitting fabrics like leather, denim and cotton to flatter your silhouette.

Detail is key I think for this time of year, so my adding in a little embellishment we can dress up a typically casual style top. Pair these with skinny jeans, or with a pencil skirt and some ankle boots for a street style look. The heavier style of knit works perfectly against leather, so why not try a leather a-line skirt or trousers, to channel your inner Olivia Palermo.
