Three laser-cut dresses to rival Self Portrait

I just found out today that the clothing brand Self-Portrait was only launched in 2013. Like, what? It seems like I've been walking passed the laser cut, heavy-duty lace effect dresses in BT2 for about 90 years.

I've always like the look of them - and not because of the nudey effect underneath - but I've never owned one. (Not since I saw a TOWIE cast member wearing one to a wedding. Sorry.) Self Portrait is actually an affordable brand and since about this time last year, celebs have been jumping on it.

Maisie Williams (pictured below) wore a typical example of Self Portrait to the Screen Actors Guild awards in 2015, and Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington have both been pictured at red carpet events wearing an SP design.

Like all good things, the unique style has trickled down to the High Street, so everyone can get the Self Portrait look. I spied an SP-esque dress in Zara a few weeks ago and then another in Warehouse; guys, the laser-cut has gone global.
