So What's This Season's New Black for the Fash Pack?
It's not like this one is a new trend really. Khaki colours and its variations, stay around from season to season, but there has been an influx of the shade for Autumn Winter 2015.
It's a shade I've never been sure about. Against my pale skin and blonde hair, I never really felt the colour worked for me. But I have found ways around this. And here's how to do it, and the pieces that we are gonna love to wear.
1. Keep Cosy
You might be on the hunt for a new winter coat, huh? Well, check out a new shade for your winter cosy cover up. Khaki works really well in tailoring so opt for a more structured style of coat for this colour.
Layer this over a nice navy or black polo neck and ankle grazer trousers for work, or drape over your shoulders with jeans for a night out.

Keeping cosy is the name of the game in winter, and a nice, soft wool knit will do the trick. New Look are leading the way with pieces in khaki from coats to jumpers so we've found some star buys for your under €50. Even a coat which will hit the shop floor fairly soon!
2. Tops

Khaki works well as a pairing item. And what I mean by that is by wearing separates in this colour, it can come to life with complementary shades. Navy, mustard yellow, black and taupe all look great with it. Try a pussy-bow blouse with a navy pencil skirt, or with some leather leggings for some edge.
3. And for the feet?
The feet will not escape the effect of khaki. I always opt for a black ankle or knee high boot for winter but this year, I am changing it up since I discovered these ones from Monsoon. Not too high and not too low, with enough detail to make them dressy and casual no matter what the occasion. I think I might try a new style this year.
What do you think of khaki? Is it workable as an alternative to the darker shades of winter? Or is black always the new black?
