Sneak Peek and Label Love: Arnotts AW15
This morning we headed along to the Hugh Lane Gallery to check out what Arnotts have in store for us next season. Now I know that we are still waiting for sunshine and shorts-worthy weather but sure lookit, we may as well face reality and know that AW is possibly our natural national dressing default (now try saying that after three glasses of wine).
The influences for their AW collection draws from the 1960s and 1970s; it's feminine, flirty and all about the silhouette. And I'm only delira that the cape and faux fur featured heavily as they are both favourites of mine. Give me a faux-fur lined cape and I'm happy for an entire season.
In terms of colour palette, we're going towards chocolate browns, camels, burnt oranges and vibrant reds, while grey acts as a balance for richer shades like plum, deep greens and gold.
Silhouettes rule the runway with AW shaping up to feature fit and flare dresses, pencil skirts and cropped knitwear. But coats will be looser in boyfriends fits and caped pieces.

Two new Irish designers have joined Arnotts this year, with Natalie B Coleman and Caroline Matthews adding to their growing Irish designer stable.
And I'll be popping in to check out my favourite designer of the moment, the über talented Umit Kutluk.
Anything catching your eagle fashionista eye? Or are you'll afraid we'll jinx the sunny days by daring to speak of faux furs? To the comments!
