Slither your way to a dose of cool: Snakeskin Print is still edgy
Even though snakeskin patterned rigouts have been around since the time of Noah's Ark they're still edgy and that little bit cooler than other animal prints. Except owls. Nothing beats a bit of owl.
Full on snake is just too much though and subtlety is definitely key here. Don't for the love of god go for a snakeskin dress, shoes AND bag because you'll seriously run the risk of looking like a right twit. And snake with another animal print will meant the snake will fight with the leopard (or tiger or zebra), give him a right old nasty bite and the whole thing will end in tears. Clashing animals is never easy.
Try pairing snakeskin flats or a clutch with skinny jeans or trousers and a simple white top for a casual look. A snakeskin patterned top under a jacket or with a pencil skirt looks smart and can take you from boardroom to er bedroom
So lets have a look at some lovey ssssssnake.

The bad thing about real snakeskin bags and shoes is the absolute cruelty with which they're made (the snake is skinned alive) and that's something that we would never condone. If any of the bags below are made from real snake (e.g. the Gucci bag) we're just using it for illustrative purposes to show you where the trend came from. The designer end of the market tends to feature real snakeskin but the high street versions usually just copy the trend and happily print the pattern onto faux leather/leather/plastic. But check it out with the shop if you're not sure.
