POLL: Over the Knee Boots - Fashion Forward or Strictly 'Pretty Woman'?

They've divided opinion, possibly even broken up friendships, but over the knee boots are back for another season, thanks to Olivia Palermo.

The style star has been seen wearing her booties several times over the last month, and it has led to a plenty of debate here at Beaut HQ! Can we mere mortals wear them? If we do wear them, how?

I treated myself to a pair from Penneys recently (the pair above), and I have to admit, they are comfortable, and rather chic. They key is to wear a dress/skirt that covers just the top of the boot; avoid the "gap" between the end of the boot and the hem. Although Olivia defies this style with her long pins, I think by allowing the top of the boot to be "just seen" is a little more stylish.
