4 exceedingly stylish ponchos for if you're not quite ready for a winter coat
If there's one thing we know for sure, it's that anything Kate Moss wears is certified cool. She isn't restricted by trends, in fact, she wears whatever she damn well pleases. And so shall all of us.
We can't deny it, though, winter coat shopping is one of the highlights of the sartorial calendar. You don't get to do it every year because they're meant to last for two seasons or more, but when that time comes around, it's magical. What to choose? A military style? Something fuzzy? A waterproof puffa that's sensible but not entirely chic, so you have to buy a stylish backup?
There are gaps in autumn, winter and spring, however, when a coat is too much, but a jacket or trench is too little. So what you throw on instead? Kate Moss has the answer.
Yes, it's a poncho.
Ponchos were all in last year, but don't let that fool you into thinking they're out of style. How can they be when you can walk into Zara today and pick one up? Ponchos are handy in numerous ways: they're cosy; they can be worn over a jacket for layering; you can wear it inside, too. We go as far as wearing a scarf over ours.

Zara's poncho collection is extensive, and they do stock a plain black fringed one that's just like Kate's. We like this caped version that's technically for men, but come on, it's a poncho. One fits all!
But Zara isn't the only high street store to sell ponchos. We love this reversible number from Oasis (€45). Just look at that darling toggle clasp.
Not gonna lie; we'd wear this one from Warehouse as a top (€35).
And this one from H&M will brighten up the all-black ensemble you know you'll be wearing underneath.
Do you have a poncho left over from last year? If yes, break that baby out. It's just the right time to do so. And if you're in the market for a new winter coat this year, check out our gallery below for inspiration.
