Another iconic night for fashion at the CFDA awards

Actors, models and fashion designers put on their best showstoppers for the CFDA awards.

The CFDA Fashion Awards are a major event in the fashion calendar and the biggest players in fashion always pull out their best. The awards are just as famous for the more ‘out there’ designs on display as the classic floor-length numbers.

Diane Kruger found the perfect balance with her blue velvet dress. It’s not an obvious choice but the sequinned detail on the front keep it eye-catching and fresh.

Bella Hadid found the look everyone is talking about with her bright pink jacket that she worked as a power suit. With her blunt bob, she looked every inch the style queen.

At first, you might be forgiven for thinking Gigi Hadid’s outfit is a tent, but on closer inspection, it’s actually a silk gown that covers her head to toe.

Janelle Monae kept things interesting with a signature monochrome look and a ‘half on’ blazer.

We didn’t think we’d be seeing the pantashoe again after the Met Gala, but we spied them on Alex Wek which she wore with an oversized bow dress.

Style icon Olivia Palermo wore a design from her upcoming Banana Republic collection. This dress is technically available now, but after the CFDA appearance it has already sold out.
