Why are Women Tweeting Enda Kenny About their Periods?
Enda Kenny's mentions tab has been filled with women openly discussing their menstruation cycles thanks to a Twitter campaign started by comedian Grainne Maguire to raise awareness for the Repeal the Eighth campaign. Since we know how much the Irish state cares about our reproductive parts-I call my womb Ireland's littlest embassy ;-) #repealthe8th (1/3) — Gráinne Maguire (@GrainneMaguire) November 2, 2015 I think its only fair that the women of Ireland let our Leader @EndaKennyTD know the full details of our menstrual cycle #repealthe8th (2/3) — Gráinne Maguire (@GrainneMaguire) November 2, 2015 Hey @EndaKennyTD just so you know, I got my period two days ago. Pretty heavy flow at first but now just occasional spotting #repealthe8th — Gráinne Maguire (@GrainneMaguire) November 2, 2015
The campaign's already got a few followers, with other women chiming in with their own periodic reports.

If the Government's going to get involved in what women do with their own bodies, it's only right that they should be fully briefed on all the goings on and facts therein, right?
