10-year-old Irish girl with autism stuns with her rendition of Hallelujah
A video of Killard House School Choir is currently wowing the internet as it shows a 10-year-old girl from Northern Ireland singing Leonard Cohen’s (who passed away last November) ‘Hallelujah’ with her classmates.
The video was recorded at the school's Christmas show and has been viewed over 170,000 times (at the time of writing) in three days.
Kaylee Rodgers, from Donaghadee, County Down, has autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but singing has helped her build up her confidence. People from around the world have seen the video, with hundreds of comments praising Kaylee's voice.
According to ITV, Kaylee said: ‘It was really amazing how many views I got. I just loved doing it.’

Colin Millar, the principal of Killard House, said: ‘For a child who came in P4 and would really talk, wouldn’t really read out in class, to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing. It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part.’
