Taylor Swift Puts Her Fame & Fortune to Good Use Once Again
Naomi Oakes is a huge Taylor Swift fan, and when her family bought her tickets to see her favourite star in concert later this year, they never imagined that she wouldn't be able to attend as a result of her needing treatment for leukaemia.
The Oakes family are based in Arizona, and the diagnosis of Acute Myelogenous Leukemia for Naomi meant that they needed to find $30,000 to cover the medical costs and help their daughter get better. Her uncle Brandon C. Adams decided to set up a GoFundMe page, and posted a video of Naomi using Bad Blood as her anthem for her treatment.
It seems that Taylor herself might have spotted the video, and decided to make a donation to help Naomi out, giving $50,000 to the crowdfunding page under her own name, saying "To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I'm sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family". Understandably, Naomi was pretty emotional when she saw it.

At the time of writing, the page now has over $72,000 in donations for Naomi, and while Swift's representatives have been contacted for comment, they have yet to confirm or deny if Taylor herself was the woman behind the donation.
Taylor has previously given donations to crowdfunding campaigns to help cover medical expenses, so this wouldn't be a first, but even if it's not here, the army of Swift fans have learned about Naomi's story and have been donating as much as they can to help her out.
Good job, internet.
