How To Practice Better Self-Care
Self-care is about taking care of your physical, emotional and mental health. It's often seen as a chore but it's hugely important to prevent burnout.Don't overwork yourself
This one is easier said than done I know, but having a good work-life balance is essential for feeling your best.
In today's world working a lot has been glamorised and made to look like a goal everyone should strive for.
Being passionate about your job is great but overdoing it will make working more difficult and less enjoyable.
Block out a bit of time each week for self-care. Time for you to chill and do nothing or do more of that hobby you've been neglecting lately.

Go to therapy
The idea of going to therapy and talking about your feelings, insecurities and past traumas with a stranger can be daunting for many, however, it may just be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.
Taking the time to improve your mental health and develop effective coping strategies will improve your life overall. I've been going to therapy for a few years now and it's honestly hugely improved my life.
It's helped me identify the root cause of some of my insecurities and develop ways to handle everyday stress.
If you're the type of person who doesn't like talking to friends or family about their problems, therapy could be the perfect solution for you.

As everyone knows, it's not good to keep your emotions bottled up.
Create a self-care kit
A self-care kit is a little tool kit for those days when you're feeling overwhelmed or just not feeling your best. You can create a self-care kit for on-the-go or for at home, the choice is up to you.
An easy way to make your kit is to include a few items for each of the five senses.
For example, your self-care kit could include your favourite tea, a sweet treat, some headphones and a dedicated playlist, a sheet mask, a blanket, a candle and some pictures of happy memories with loved ones.
The great thing about self-care kits is that they are completely customisable so you can tailor it fit your needs.
