No Graham Norton Tonight, Here's What You Can Watch Instead
For those of you planning on hiding away from Storm Abigail tonight or indeed just trying to keep out of trouble on Friday the 13th, you are probably hoping to sit down in front of the box with Graham Norton and his panel of exclusive guests. Well not tonight we're afraid as the Cork host is taking the night off to make room for Children in Need on the BBC. But don't forget there's always the Late Late Show!
So what you can watch instead with your tea and biccies?
- Children in Need - BBC1: 7.30 pm
As we said, Children in Need is on. It's an evening jam packed full of entertainment, and while unfortunately Terry Wogan has stepped down from presenting duties due to illness, they do have Dermot O'Leary filling in alongside co-presenter Tess Daly. They will be joined by a massive lineup of stars including the cast of EastEnders who will be performing a musical number alongside Peter Andre. Scott Mills will be live in Blackpool preparing to abseil down the 400ft Blackpool Tower. There will also be a Strictly Come Dancing special which will see the legendary Bruce Forsyth return to host, while Rod Stewart and Ellie Goulding will also be in for live performances and Jess Glynne performs the official Children in Need song, Take Me Home.
- Gogglebox - Channel 4: 9.00pm
Let's face it, we were all watching this anyways.

- Alan Carr: Chatty Man - Channel 4: 10.00pm
Not quite Graham Norton, but Alan Carr is good enough craic and usually has a great lineup too. Tonight he is joined by Russell Howard, who chats about his current series of Russell Howard's Good News, comedian Dawn French, who discusses her new novel According to YES, and Little Mix, who perform their new single Love Me, Like You live in the studio. Plus, Pointless host Richard Osman discusses his new book The A-Z of Pointless.
- TV3 Toy Show Auditions - TV3: 8.00pm
It may not have quite the same prestige as The Late Late's Toy Show but look, it's still cute and Christmassy with kids and the like, and this year even has the lovely Maria Walsh on presenting duty. Tonight however, isn't the real thing, it's more of a sneak-peak as we get a look at some of the impressive acts that all auditioned to be part of this year’s TV3 Toy Show. So basically, if your kid didn't make the final cut, at least they will still get their fifteen minutes of fame here.

- The Five-Year Engagement - TV3 : 9.00pm
If you're in the mood for a romcom of a Friday, check out Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in The Five-Year Engagement over on TV3. Yes it's cheesy as all hell but sure sometimes that's just what you need after a long week.
- Live Euro 2016 Qualifiers - RTE2: 7.00pm
And then, of course, there's the match! After Ireland's heroic defeat against World Champions Germany a few weeks ago, you'd be forgiven for believing that we should be sailing into the Euros next year. However, we still have one very real obstacle in our path in the form of Bosnia-Herzegovina which we will face twice over the next few days both at home and abroad. This evening's first-leg clash takes place on their turf at the Stadion Bilino Polje in Zenica, where Ireland will be hoping to set themselves up nicely for their home game in the Aviva on Monday. (Kick-off 7.45pm).
There's loads to choose from. Will you be staying in to watch or have you an exciting night on the tiles planned instead?
