What you need in your wardrobe if you are a busy mum
Buying clothes and choosing outfits can sometimes be hard work. You can get a little lost between prioritising comfort or style.
From experience, having some staple pieces that you can mix and match is a lifesaver. Especially if you are a busy mum. Or just busy.
Aside from laying out your outfit the night before you can be sure that knowing your staple pieces will save you time and energy in the morning.
Here are some staples every busy mum should have in their wardrobe:
Denim
Many of us buy without trying on and end up with a wardrobe full of ill-fitting jeans. Don’t fall into this trap. In my opinion, it is worth the money to have one or two expensive but great fitting jeans as your staples. Take a day to go trying different brands on and see what suit your body type and most of all, make you feel fabulous.
A flowing skirt

A flowy skirt is one item of clothing that in my opinion suits all body types. It can be worn during the day with a light t-shirt and trainers or at night with a lace top and some heels. It’s so versatile and you don’t even have to shave your legs if you wear a long one. It is perfect for summer and pair it with a light knit and you have it for spring and autumn too!
Trainers
Trainers with just about anything have become quite the trend of late. And it’s no surprise really. Invest in a comfortable and supportive pair of trainers and you will wear them with just about anything. They are also fantastic if you are on your feet all day or chasing little ones around, comfort and style all rolled into one.
Low heels
Again, another staple that can be worn with most outfits. Choose a low and wearable heel to get the most wear. Sure, a high heel looks and can feel amazing but how much wear do you really get out of them? Again, if you’re running around after little ones but want a little height, go for a low heel.
Leather Jacket
This is the ultimate staple in any woman's closet. A good quality stylish leather jacket is one of the most versatile items you could have in your wardrobe. Do your research, try different types on and remember this is an investment.
