Met Eireann Issues Three Status Yellow Alerts
As if Storm Clodagh hasn't blown the heads off us enough - cutting power in approximately 4,000 homes and cancelled flights over the weekend - we've now got an icy blast from the Arctic to deal with. The Independent are stating that overnight temperatures are expected to plummet to -4C in some areas come Thursday, with snow already reportedly streaming down in parts of the North. While the downpours are due to clear this afternoon, the usual damp and misty "grey soup" will continue to be prevalent in "Mayo, Clare and Galway, on exposed southern coastal counties."
Temperatures will be coldest on Thursday night, with things brightening up slightly come Friday.
