Matthew Perry won't be part of Friends reunion
Well this is disappointing. Earlier in the week brought the news that the cast of Friends would reunite for an upcoming NBC special honouring James Burrows, who directed fifteen of the show's episodes.
However, actor Matthew Perry has ruled himself out of the reunion as he will be over in the UK with his forthcoming West End playwriting debut - The End of Longing - in which he also stars. (You can catch him on The Graham Norton Show tonight talking about it.) A totally legit reason in fairness.
A representative of Perry said; "he is in London in rehearsals for his play, The End of Longing... Matthew may tape something for the tribute. In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for."
Adding; "NBC executives were aware of this prior to their announcement".
A statement from NBC had originally said they were "hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off."

The NBC special will feature contributions from a number of actors who have starred in James Burrows shows including cast members from Will and Grace, Mike and Molly, Frasier, and Cheers which he co-created.
So basically, as Perry's rep said, it's not exactly the reunion we had in mind, but sure at least Matt Le Blanc is excited about it.
Should be a good time! https://t.co/5mrWPJkD3R
