Mary Berry and her lovely jackets get their own BBC cookery series
The Great British Bake Off may have now finished its run with the BBC, but the channel has not lost the show's most prized possession. That is, of course, Mary Berry.
The former Bake Off judge will front a new series called Mary Berry Everyday. The 81-year-old will celebrate some of the recipes that have formed the cornerstone of her six decades of cooking over six decades. Berry will travel to her childhood home in Scotland where she learns to milk a goat and make her own goat’s cheese, as well as trying her hand at bee-keeping and investigating the history of the great British pie.
Her recipes will range from family classics to easy-to-make crowd pleasers and Mary will be giving some handy short cuts and secret tips to show how easy it is for the food you cook every day to be elevated.
