Love Island WILL return for another series
It was the TV hit of the summer (sorry Big Brother) as so many of us got probably a little over-invested in the goings of a villa out in Majorca. Last night, after six weeks of drama, shenanigans and metaphors (thanks Adam) Nathan and Cara were crowned Love Island winners 2016.
The pair took home the £50,000 prize, winning with 54% of the public vote, with Olivia and Alex finishing second, Scott and Kady in third place, and Adam and Katie coming in fourth.

The reality show managed to double its viewers from last year's series, bringing in an average of 1.3 million, so of course it's a no brainer that the show will be returning for another summer of love in 2017.
ITV Studios creative director Richard Cowles said: "We couldn't be more proud of the show which has found its perfect match in ITV2.

"We had well over a million loyal viewers tuning in to each episode and a million more watching via the ITV Hub - all desperate to get the latest news from the Love Island villa.
"We can't wait to do it all again next year and have already started the search for a brand new cast of singles looking for love."
The 2017 Islanders will have a tough act to follow but if you fancy your chances at being in the next series, you can apply for Love Island 2017 here.
Just don't shame the parish.
