Google completely failed at April Fool's Day this year
You would think that April Fool's Day is something far too silly for serious corporations like Google to play around with. You'd think wrong.
To celebrate the day, Google added a Gmail Mic Drop feature which allowed users to add a GIF of a minion dropping a microphone to the end of their emails.
Harmless enough right? Well not for everyone.

Hey @gmail, I think you guys just ruined my chances at getting a job with your mic drop "prank." My fat fingers hit the button.

Yeah, we can understand why they'd be annoyed about that. Google promptly removed the feature blaming a 'bug' for ruining their prank.
"Well, it looks like we pranked ourselves this year. Due to a bug, the Mic Drop feature inadvertently caused more headaches than laughs. We’re truly sorry. The feature has been turned off. If you are still seeing it, please reload your Gmail page," they wrote in a blog post.
This should be a lesson to you all. If Google can be brought down by a stupid prank anyone can.
