In surprising TV news of the day, Lindsay Lohan joins UK comedy series
Well, this wasn't a move we were expecting from Lindsay Lohan, in fact, can anyone even remember the last time we saw this former child star act? Well, besides the odd cameo here and there.
Her life seemed to spiral out of control for a while, but recently, the only thing she has really hit the headlines for is that weird broken English accent she came out with in an interview in Greece last year.
However, for those of you that were fans of Lohan in her Mean Girls/Parent Trap hey day, you will be glad to hear she is getting her acting career back on track in what we reckon is a very smart move for the star. It was announced today she would be joining the cast of Sky 1 comedy Sick Note, which stars Nick Frost and Harry Potter's Rupert Grint.
The series is heading into its second season and follows the story of compulsive liar Daniel Glass (Grint), who is wrongly diagnosed with a terminal illness by his incompetent doctor (Frost), and when the truth comes out, the doc convinces him to keep the lie going and naturally enough, it soon leads to many more deceptions.
Lohan will play Katerina West, the daughter of Glass's boss Kenny (Don Johnson) in the second series, which has begun filming.

Sky's Head of Comedy Jon Mountague said: "One lie leads to the next in this unsettlingly brilliant comedy that will hook viewers in and have them on the very edge of their seats.
"Filming for series two is already under way and we're delighted to confirm Lindsay Lohan will be joining Rupert and Nick in this stellar comedy cast."
Sick Note will premiere on Sky 1 and Now TV in the autumn.
