Kate Winslet admits truth about Titanic doorgate
Ever since our wee hearts broke seeing the lovely Jack Dawson's face fade into the ocean never to be seen again at the end of Titanic (ooops sorry, spoiler alert??), we've always just held the slightest grudge against Rose. That door was massive and definitely could have snugly fit two.
Now, twenty years later, Winslet has broken her silence (she has probably talked about it before) and admitted to late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that; "I think he could have actually fit on that bit of door."
She THINKS, he could have fit on the door. Well we know he could have Kate.
Although director James Cameron has said in the past that it wasn't a matter of space, but "a question of buoyancy".
"When Jack puts Rose on the raft, he tries to get on the raft - he's not an idiot, he doesn't want to die - and the raft sinks; it kind of flips," he said.
"It's clear that there's really only enough buoyancy available for one person, so he makes the decision to let her be that person."

Although TV show Mythbusters actually tried it out a few years ago and indeed proved that "Jack's death was needless", although they did use the life jacket to add buoyancy...
Still though, that along with Kate's confession is all the proof we need.
We'll never let go Jack, we'll never let go.
