JK Rowling helps one Harry Potter fan with tattoo request
Yesterday, JK Rowling received a tweet from a fan in need. Within ten minutes, she responded, granting the request, and helping potentially a huge amount of people in the process.
A girl, called "Kate" posted the below, chronicling her ongoing battles with self harm after a number of harrowing incidences. She asked JK to hand write "Expecto Patronum" so she could get it tattooed over the wrist she harms the most. Expecto Patromum roughly translates as "I await a protector."
@jk_rowling i wanna get 'expecto patronum' tattooed & it'd mean the world if it was in ur handwriting. here's why:') pic.twitter.com/fhldRiju3w

Minutes later JK responded with the below.
.@AlwaysJLover I love that you're working to heal and protect yourself. You deserve this. I hope it helps. pic.twitter.com/T2nDG3z2MJ

All over the world, there are people silently suffering a daily internal battle. Every little gesture helps.
