Hugh Jackman has posted a striking picture of himself to Instagram to warn people of the dangers of sun damage

The Wolverine actor has had a basal cell carcinoma - a type of skin cancer that most often develops on areas exposed to the sun - removed, making it his 6th in total since first getting a 'mark on his nose' checked in 2013 at his wife's urging.

He posted the pic of himself with a bandaged nose and the caption: "Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear! #wearsunscreen"
