How to secretly read your WhatsApp messages

We can all relate to that feeling where we've received a message from someone and we want to read it but we really can't deal with the pressure of them knowing we've read the message and the implication that we should reply immediately.

Life is stressful enough, right?

Well, this little hack may help you get around that. Sort of. If you want to avoid those two little blue ticks, just switch your phone over to airplane mode and then read the message. The result? The sender will see two little grey ticks. indicating that you've received the message but haven't read it yet.

The only downside is that once you switch back off of airplane mode those ticks will automatically turn blue which makes the hack not all that great after all. If nothing else, it'll buy you some extra time when you really need to think about your replies.
