The heavens opened on Adele’s concert so she put on a poncho and carried on
We didn’t think it was possible to love her even more.
Adele was performing at an outdoor stadium in Auckland, New Zealand when a torrential downpour started. Like a true professional she carried on through the rain for a while – her fans had paid to see her after all – and ignore that Cyclone Debbie was going on around her. But when a fan threw a poncho up on stage she confirmed her legend status by putting it on over her glamorous gown and carrying on.
Seeing her in the poncho is giving us serious flashbacks to us being drenched at nearly every Irish summer festival. Somehow we can’t see the Mariah Carey’s of the pop world doing the same thing, but it makes Adele even more of a star.
