Actresses at the Golden Globes will wear black for a very powerful reason
Multiple sources are reporting that presenters and nominees will wear all-black outfits as a symbol of protest against sexual harassment and gender inequality in Hollywood at the awards ceremony on January 7th.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, industry insiders have been trying to figure out how best to acknowledge the #MeToo movement. The protest is initially only planned for the Globes, where big names like Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone and Meryl Streep are nominated, but may run longer into awards season.
In another act of solidarity with the women of Hollywood, the Screen Actors Guild this week announced an all-female line-up of presenters for their award ceremony on January 21st.
