E-Cigarettes Come Under Fire: Have you Ditched Smoking for Vaping?
In the battle to quit smoking, have you swapped from normal cigarettes to e-cigarettes?
While quitting is one of the best things that you can do for your health, the jury is still out on the affects of these e-cigarettes. Some studies proclaim them to be a completely harmless alternative, while other research suggests that your lungs may still be burdened by the chemicals inhaled from an electronic cigarette.
So how do e-cigarettes actually work? As per IFLS:
A battery-powered device heats a liquid solution (called e-liquid) of nicotine and flavors, creating an aerosol that is inhaled to simulate the physical sensation of smoking in a process known as “vaping”.

And if you splash out on the higher end models, you can adjust the voltage and heat intensity for a greater nicotine hit.
As per Science News,
Because early e-cigarettes didn’t deliver the same powerful hit of nicotine that burning tobacco does, engineers developed second-generation technology that allows users to increase an e-cigarette’s voltage, and thus temperature, to atomize more nicotine per puff.
