Amidst all the comedy around the Best Picture category, the Best Actor category and the controversy surrounding Casey Affleck was somewhat overlooked.

More to the point is Brie Larson's reaction when Affleck was presented with his award. While most people speculated that it was due to Larson's history as a campaigner against sexual violence and women's rights preventing her from clapping for someone who has been twice sued for sexual assault, some others felt that it was simply Larson choosing not to because, well, she'd just handed an Oscar to the guy.

Yeah, it was clear as day what she was doing. However, for those at the back who still don't get it, here's Brie Larson talking to Vanity Fair to explain the whole thing. "I think that whatever it was that I did onstage kind of spoke for itself... I've said all that I need to say about that topic."

Mystery solved, folks. Brie Larson wasn't going to publicly congratulate someone who was accused of sexual assault (twice), settled the matter out of court and had his lawyers place a gag order on the whole thing.
