Black was the colour on the NTA's red carpet
To put the proliferation of black into perspective, EVEN the usual burst of colour that is Mary Berry was wearing black. She was just one of the slew of celebrities clad in black at last night's National Television Awards, let's have a look at just some of them shall we?
The stars of Corrie were all about sporting the LBD in all it's forms...
Even Faye Brookes (AKA Kate Connor) went with black, teamed with an extremely tanned Gareth Gates.
Ex Corrie star Michelle Keegan brought a bit of a twist to her black ensemble...
As did X Factor's Caroline Flack...
And Emmerdale's Gemma Oaten (Rachel), Jodie Whittaker, and Emma Willis...
But then it was 'back to black' for many of the remaining stars on the red carpet, such as Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon (we think it's shorts under chiffon palazzo pants... or is it a romper suit), GBBO winner Nadiya Hussain, Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams, Chloe Sims, Suranne Jones, and her off Hollyoaks who used to be on Corrie.

Of course there were a handful who broke out a bit of colour, including Rochelle Humes, Holly Willoughby, our Laura Whitmore and Vogue Williams (in a dress designed by Irish designer Shauna Harrison - who left college last June. It took 12 days to make and it looks pretty damn stunning)...
That's not all, Emmerdale stars Gemma Atkinson and Natalie Anderson brought a bit of warmth, while Casey Batchelor and Luisa Zissman ramped the vibrancy button up to 11...
Lastly I'm a Celebrity / Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter came as the future...
